Speech-Language Pathologist

Speech-Language Pathologist will…

Provide outpatient, speech-language therapy to a pediatric population ages birth-21.

Provide individual treatment with a focus on Childhood Apraxia of Speech*, language delay, articulation, phonological disorder, receptive language, fluency, etc.

*Experience with Childhood Apraxia of Speech given highest preference

Conduct initial evaluations, daily session notes, and progress notes as needed in a timely manner.

Work independently yet have access to fellow speech-language pathologists for collaboration.

Communicate effectively through email, phone, and in-person with prospective and current clientele.

Create strong, compassionate relationships with children and their families.

Work daytime hours: 8:30-3:00. Occasional evening/after school hours may be available.

This is a year round position.

Respond well to constructive feedback and be proactive in case management and therapy.

Provide all information necessary for Independence Blue Cross credentialing.

What you’ll bring…

Enthusiasm and passion for providing therapy and education to families.

Active Pennsylvania speech-language pathology license.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

Professional liability insurance, Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification, and FBI, state criminal, and state child abuse clearances.

Two-three professional references.

Experience and training in pediatric speech therapy.

Ability to work independently.

PROMPT, DTTC training given highest preference!

What we provide…

This is a fee-for-service independent contractor position, part-time, depending on your availability.

A casual, warm, FUN environment to work and feel appreciated by staff and families.

60% of fee for initial employment period (6 months).

Raise to 70-75% (depending on experience) after initial performance review.

No cap on compensation.

1 hour paid charting time per 10 clients seen per pay period.

Credentialing with Independence Blue Cross.

Weekly paycheck.
